Mexican Cinco Pesos Gold Coin, 1955 This Cinco Pesos Mexican coin was struck in 900.0 gold and weighs 4.16 grams. This equates to 3.74 grams of fine gold. It features a winged bird with spreading wings with a snake in its beak with the words 'Estados Unidos Mexicanos' around the top rim. The reverse features the words 'Cinco Pesos' round one side of the coin and in the centre is a figure of Miguel Hidalgo (Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla). This man was a priest mainly responsible for the Mexican revolution against the Spanish.
